In a defensive situation, the ability to operate effectively in low-light conditions can be crucial. Recognizing the unique challenges of these scenarios, Defensive Firearms Instruction offers a specialized course: Defensive Low Light Handgun Tactics. This intermediate-level course is designed to equip both civilians and professionals with the essential skills needed to handle a handgun confidently and safely in low-light environments.

Course Overview

The Defensive Low Light Handgun Tactics course spans six hours of intensive training at a shooting range. It’s specifically tailored for those who already possess a solid foundation in handgun use and are looking to advance their skills. To enroll, participants must have previously completed Defensive Handgun Tactics 1, the

Equipment and Requirements
Students are required to bring specific gear to ensure they are fully prepared for the course. This includes a valid government-issued photo ID, a handgun with a holster, at least three magazines, and 250+ rounds of ammunition. A handheld flashlight with a pouch or pocket clip is essential, as much of the training revolves around its use in conjunction with a handgun.

Additional gear such as knee pads, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat with a visor is recommended for comfort, especially since the training is conducted outdoors. Students are also advised to bring their own snacks and drinks, as refrigeration is not available on-site.

For those who do not have access to the required equipment, rental options are available with advanced notice, ensuring that all participants can fully engage in the training.
